Android TV and Google TV devices can install apps from the Google Play Store, but the available catalogue varies by device and region. Check the model’s current support information and the provider’s compatibility list before subscribing.

Open the Play Store on the television, search for the app recommended by your service provider and review the developer and permissions. Keep the operating system and apps updated. Only use the official store or links published by the verified developer.

After installation, follow the provider’s instructions to create an account or sign in. A playlist URL or access code can grant access to media, so treat it like a password. Enter it only in the intended app and do not share it on forums or social networks.

When an app will not install, check available storage, system updates and whether your device is certified and supported. If video stops or buffers, restart the app and router, test another network device, and try Ethernet if available.

Do not assume that an app includes television channels. Apps are often just playback software; the user must obtain content lawfully from a provider with the required rights.
